Opportunity Overview
As a Home Inspector working with Upchurch Inspection, you’ll conduct comprehensive residential inspections, document your findings clearly, and communicate results to clients in a friendly and professional manner. We’re looking for someone who values integrity, precision, and continual learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform residential home inspections according to InterNACHI standards of practice and Mississippi state requirements
- Inspect major home systems including structure, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interiors, and exteriors
- Produce clear, detailed digital inspection reports using modern reporting software
- Explain findings to clients in an approachable and educational way
- Maintain professionalism and uphold Upchurch Inspection’s reputation for honesty and quality
- Keep up to date with continuing education, building practices, and safety standards
- Professionally represent the company during client interactions and local real-estate events
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mississippi Home Inspector License
- InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential
- Strong attention to detail and strong observational abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage your own appointments
- Physically capable of accessing crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and tight or elevated areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home inspections, construction, building trades, or real estate
- Familiarity with home inspection software and digital reporting tools
- Customer-service experience and strong communication skills
