Opportunity Overview
As a Home Inspector working with Upchurch Inspection, you will perform comprehensive inspections, clearly document your findings, and communicate results to clients in a friendly and professional way. We value inspectors who are accurate, responsible, and committed to ongoing learning in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct residential home inspections according to Tennessee standards of practice and company policies
- Evaluate major home systems, including structure, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interiors, and exteriors
- Produce clear, thorough digital inspection reports using modern software tools
- Explain findings to clients in a straightforward, approachable manner
- Maintain professionalism and uphold Upchurch Inspection’s reputation for honesty, quality, and reliability
- Stay informed on building practices, state regulations, safety protocols, and continuing education
- Represent the company professionally with clients, agents, and at local real estate events
Required Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee Home Inspector License
- InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential
- Strong attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage your own appointments
- Physically able to access crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and other tight or elevated areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home inspections, construction, trades, remodeling, or real estate
- Experience with inspection software and digital reporting
- Strong customer service or client-facing communication skills
