Position Overview
As a Home Inspector with Upchurch Inspection, you’ll perform comprehensive residential inspections, clearly document your findings, and communicate results to clients in a friendly, professional manner. We seek inspectors who are reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to ongoing learning in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform residential home inspections according to InterNACHI standards of practice and applicable Missouri guidelines
- Inspect major home systems including structure, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interiors, and exteriors
- Prepare clear, detailed digital inspection reports using modern inspection software
- Explain findings to clients in an approachable and educational way
- Maintain professionalism and uphold Upchurch Inspection’s reputation for honesty and quality
- Stay current with building practices, safety standards, and continuing education
- Represent the company professionally at client appointments and local real estate events
Required Qualifications
- Pass the National Home Inspector Examination
- InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Physically capable of accessing attics, crawlspaces, roofs, and tight or elevated areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home inspections, construction, trades, or real estate
- Familiarity with inspection software and digital reporting tools
- Strong customer service or client-facing communication experience
