Position Overview
As a Home Inspector with Upchurch Inspection, you’ll complete comprehensive residential inspections, clearly document your findings, and communicate results to clients in a friendly, professional manner. We’re searching for inspectors who take pride in their work and are committed to continuing education and professional accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform residential home inspections according to InterNACHI standards of practice and applicable Missouri guidelines
- Inspect major home systems: structure, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interiors, and exteriors
- Prepare clear, detailed digital inspection reports using modern inspection software
- Communicate findings to clients in a supportive and easy-to-understand way
- Maintain professionalism and uphold the company’s reputation for honesty and quality
- Keep up with building practices, safety standards, and continuing education
- Represent Upchurch Inspection with professionalism at client appointments and local real estate events
Required Qualifications
- Need to have passed the National Home Inspector Exam
- InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage your own scheduling
- Physically capable of accessing crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and other tight or elevated areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home inspections, construction, building trades, or real estate
- Experience using home inspection software and digital reporting tools
- Strong customer-service and client communication experience
