A home inspection is a deeper look into the condition of a home or property. They are done item by item, from the roof to the foundation, and include looking closely at things like plumbing, heating, air conditioning, sinks, tubs, and faucets, and any appliances which convey. The general concept is that the home inspector is trained to spot problems that typical homebuyers are likely to miss during their walkthrough.

Rates will typically not vary more than $100 between different companies, and are based on the square footage and age of the property.
